Michele Ruth Winn, 74, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:23 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Southeast Iowa regional Medical Center in Fort Madison. She was born on August 19, 1949 in Fort Madison, IA to William & Ruth Persinger Stancil. She married Lewis Edward Winn on December 13, 1969 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2012. She worked as a cook and for the ordinance plant when she was younger, but mostly she was a homemaker. She graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1967 and enjoyed attending class reunions. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and especially, spending time with her family.
Michele is survived by: 6-children: Randy (Trina) Winn of Keokuk, IA, Kathy Case of West Point, IA, Lori (Michael) Conover of Hamilton, IL, William Winn of Fort Madison, IA, Shelly Kelly of Fort Madison, IA & Patrick Winn of Fort Madison, IA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, 1-daughter: Melody Lurvey, 1-brother: Steven Stancil & 1-sister: Susan Sanborn.
