Carl Conrad “CC” Ward 79, of Waynesboro, Georgia died on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. He was born on November 7th, 1944 in Fort Madison, Iowa the son of Edwin and Margaret Mertens Ward. He proudly served in the US Navy and retired as an Ironworker with Local Union #709. Carl was an avid General Motors car and truck enthusiast who enjoyed drag racing and driving the country side.
Survivors include his son Chad Ward, (wife Mindy) of Fort Madison, Iowa. Grand daughter Faith and Grandson Noah Ward, sisters in law Francine Ward and Phyllis Ward, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, step mother Genevieve Sanders Ward, brothers George, Gerard "Gus" and Raymond Ward and step sister Rae Holtkamp.
Per his wishes he will be cremated with no services being held.
Memorials in his honor may be made to Holy Trinity Schools.
