Timothy R. Carter, 69, of Camp Point, IL and formerly of Ft. Madison, passed away on September 16, 2023 at 1:30 AM at his home.

He was born on June 26, 1954 in Ft. Madison to Andrew and Irene Baker Carter.  On August 25, 1977 he married Kathleen Burke in Alameda, CA.  Tim served in the US military and retired after 20 years of service as a cryogenics technician.  After the military he worked for Methode Electronics and Timewell Tile.  Tim loved to gamble.  He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.  Most of all he loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Carter of Camp Point, IL; three sons, Jacob Carter of Council Bluffs, IA, Nicholas Carter of Pittsfield, IL and Stephen Carter of Mendon, IL; five grandchildren, Caitlyn McClain, George Carter, Brennen Carter, Leif Carter and Nikki Carter; one sister, Charlene Russell of Irving, TX; three brothers, Richard Carter of Dallas, TX, Mark Carter and Roger Carter both of Los Angeles, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his foster parents, Nick and Norma Pranger and eleven siblings.

A military graveside service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 1:30 PM with military rites performed by the US Navy Honor Guard.
