David L. Henninger, 68, of Nauvoo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House.
He was born on May 28, 1955 in Ft. Madison to Eugene and Vera Anderson Henninger. David was a 1974 graduate of Ft. Madison High School. On August 1, 2009 he married Renee Reinhardt in Nauvoo. David worked at Crandon’s Papermill for twenty-five plus years. He then worked at Catfish Bend Casino where he retired from. David enjoyed being outdoors and loved his jeeps.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Henninger of Nauvoo; one daughter, Monica (Phylip) Strunk of Ft. Madison; one grandson, Corbin Strunk and one sister, Karen Hartley of Ft. Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Billie and a nephew, Michael Hartley.
The family will meet with friends on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Dave Poland officiating.
