William Keith Daw was born January 7, 1956, in Keokuk, Iowa and passed away September 30, 2023, at his home in Alexandria Missouri. William is preceded in death by his parents Edward (Bud) Daw Jr. and Clara Daw, and his sister Patricia Daw.  William is survived by siblings Lawrence (Butch) Daw (children Elizabeth and Thomas (wife-Brittney), Ronald Daw (wife Marianne, children Bonnie and Daniel Daw),  Barbara Young (husband Larry), Sharon Menke (husband Doug), brother-in-law Rich Wolfert (late wife Patricia) and several grand nieces and nephews.

William served in the Army from 1981 to 1985 where he was stationed in Colorado, Germany and Korea.  He held a number of jobs during his life including electro-metals worker, uranium miner, fertilizer plant worker, and truck driver.  He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed hunting for and eating mushrooms.  He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1974 where he played baseball and basketball, and was a drummer in the band.  He attended Southeast Iowa Community College.  He enjoyed food, beer, cigarettes, sports and a good joke.  He had a big heart and was very generous to children.

William will be missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Keokuk National Cemetery.  A celebration of life will follow at the community center in Saint Francisville, Missouri, directly following the service. Everyone attending is encouraged to dress casually or wear their favorite St. Louis Cardinals attire in memory of William.
