Advanced Home Health care acquires Mobile Nursing Ltd.

FORT MADISON – Kathy Gabel, owner, and Leah Galvin CEO of Advanced Home Health Care L.L.C., announced Friday, Sept. 6 that they have acquired Mobile Nursing Services LTD headquartered in Fort Madison.
Gabel said the acquisition allows Advanced Home Health to consolidate resources and yet provide the high-level of services to Advanced Home Health and Mobile Nursing customers rely upon to be able to stay at home.
Mobile Nursing started in 1993 by Barb Nelson RN for the Inhance Corp. of Fort Madison. She then went on in 1997 to develop Advanced Home Health Care in Burlington. In 2012, upon her retirement Nelson sold Advanced Home Health Care to Steve and Kathy Gabel. At that time an additional office was added in Keokuk.
Advanced Home Health Care is the largest provider of home health care services in southeast Iowa providing home health services to customers in a five-county area including Des Moines, Lee, Henry, Van Buren, and Louisa.
Services include skilled nursing and therapy, Veterans, pediatric services, private duty nursing, and private duty care. Veterans Administration services, pediatric services, private duty nursing, private duty care.
Advanced Home Health Care is a Medicare/Medicaid certified agency.
Employees of both agencies were notified of the acquisition last week.
