Shanks FORE! Food Banks this week at Green Acres

DONNELLSON - A great chance to help stock the shelves of food pantries in Fort Madison and Farmington will take place Saturday at Green Acres Golf Course in Donnellson.
A canned food drive, bake sale, and dessert auction to support the pantries will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The food drive is part of the Shanks FORE! Food Banks golf tournament being held at the golf course on the same day.
Attendees are asked to bring food items to donate, and plan to stay and shop at the bake sale or bid on the auction items. Cash donations for the food pantries will also be accepted.
The event is sponsored by Zion Mennonite Church and the silent auction bidding will close between 11:30 a.m. and noon - 12:00, or about a half hour after the end of the tournament.
The tournament is a 10-hole, 4-person best shot event with all the entry fees going to the food pantry. Cost is $40 and includes lunch, flighted prizes, and games or challenges on each hole.
