Family and Friends loved her Fried Fish in the (Cast Iron fish skillet), corn pudding that was her mother’s recipe, and her mouth-watering potato salad.  Virgie’s grandchildren loved zucchini bread and cookies.  Everyone loved pies with the wonderful flaky crust. One church member said of her deep-dish apple pie “Now that’s what I call a Pie”!  Although she made quite a variety of pies, cookies, brownies, cakes and Christmas candies.  Virgie was a talented embroiderer & seamstress including making prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, mending and enjoyed scrapbooking.  Virgie was a service to the Lord:  She did birthday ministry and would send many birthday cards.  She made picture books from calendars for many children and residents at the Nursing Home, also serving the church through Awana youth group program and bible school.  Virgie was a Sunday school teacher for 2 & 3 year olds.
