John Michael Moylan, 74, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

He was born March 17, 1949 in Syracuse, NY the son of Urban T. and Dorothy Caruso Moylan.  He was raised by Gene and Dorothy Saunders.

John was first united in marriage to Audria Parker in 1967.  She preceded him in death on April 30, 1994.  His long-time companion was Ann Leeper and she preceded him in death on August 31, 2019.

John had been employed by several different construction companies through the years and worked on the construction of the Keosippi Mall.

He enjoyed drinking a beer on his front porch and socializing with his friends.  He liked to watch television, especially the Price is Right.

He is survived by two sons, Frank “Todd” Moylan of Keokuk and Jon Moylan of Burlington, IA, one daughter, Robin Corns (Bryan) of Seabrook, S.C., several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers, Tom Moylan of Denver, CO and Tony Saunders (Kim) of Wayland, MO, two sisters, Jeanne Brooks (Harry) and Cynthia Saunders both of Keokuk and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Audria, his significant other, Ann Leeper, one sister, Carol Moylan, one brother, David Saunders and one granddaughter, Morgan Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rick Kent officiating.  Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
