Martin Joseph Daly, 85, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Born on December 10, 1937, in Buffalo, New York, the son of Martin J. and Eleanor (Brady) Daly Sr. On February 14, 1987, he married Christine Chesley.
Survivors include his wife: Christine; four children: James, Theresa, Kenneth and Cheryl; one step-daughter: Sandi all of Florida. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one sister: Mary Ann Gannon of Buffalo, New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Janet Lee Blanchard.
Martin was a veteran of the United States Air Force. While in the air force he served as a nuclear power instructor. He obtained his Pilot License and flew privately and piloted rescue missions during hurricanes and other natural disasters. Martin work as an electrical technician through out his life. He enjoyed researching genealogy. Martin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo.
His body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home for cremation.
As per Martin’s wishes no services are planned.
