Linda Pickerel, 86, of Ft. Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 2:50 PM at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA.
She was born on October 7, 1937, in Mozier, IL, to Harold and Hazel Hack Bailey. On August 29, 1959, she married Kenneth Pickerel in Kampsville, IL, and he passed away on April 29, 2022. Linda was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church. She loved to draw, paint and read mystery novels. Linda also enjoyed collecting Santas at Christmas time and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Survivors include one son, Christopher (Elizabeth) Pickerel of Burkburnett, TX; one daughter, Suzanne Scancella of Ft. Madison; two grandsons, Bryan Scancella and Justin Majors; one sister, Shirley (Tom) Macauly of Las Cruces, New Mexico; & one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
