Lilly M. Shriver, 85, of Ft. Madison passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 12:10 AM at the West Point Care Center.

    She was born on October 5, 1937 in Matewan, West Virginia to Earl and Hessie Blankenship.  After Earl passed away she was raised by her Mom and her husband Lee Justice  On October 17, 1959 she married Jerry Shriver in Norfolk, Virginia and he passed away in September of 2014.  Lilly worked several jobs as a cashier including Woolworths and Easter Foods.  She and Jerry raised thirty one foster kids over the years.  They also enjoyed traveling in their family’s motorhome, especially to Alaska.  Lilly enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, doing ceramics and was an avid Cubs fan.  Spending time with her family was most important to her and she loved spoiling her grandchildren.

   Survivors include one son, Kemp Shriver of Burlington; two daughters, Charisse Haas and Misty Stice of Ft. Madison; nine grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Lerly Murphy and Debbie McCoy both of West Virginia; one brother, Leroy Justice of West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; eight sisters and one brother.

   Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 1 PM at Oakland Cemetery with Reverend Leslie Dalstra officiating.
