King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Alice M. Kamp, 80, Fort Madison

Alice M. “Sue” Kamp, 80, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.  She was born on February 19, 1943 in Lowell, IA to Tom & Geneva Woods Zachmeyer.  She married Ralph John Kamp on November 22, 1967 in Carthage, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 24, 1999.  She worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company, Sylvania, Fort Madison Community Hospital and the Fort Madison Health Center.  She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church and also served as a deacon of the church.  The was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

       Sue is survived by: 1-daughter: Renee Summers of Keokuk, IA; 2-grandchildren; 3-brothers: Larry (Linda) Zachmeyer of Fort Madison, IA, David Zachmeyer of Sacramento, CA, Don (Cass) Zachmeyer of Salem, IA and numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 1-son: Wayne Summers, 5-sisters & 2-brothers.

       Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery.  Online condolences to Sue’s family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
