Rosemary Groene, 90, of Kansas City, MO and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at her home.   She was born on June 8, 1933 in Nauvoo, IL to Aloysius M. “A.M.” & Anna E. Hass Faulkner.  She married Richard L. Groene on September 25, 1954 in Nauvoo, IL.  She was a homemaker and a former member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church in Fort Madison.  She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Cor Marie and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  She enjoyed gardening roses and was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother.

Rosemary is survived by: her husband: Richard Groene of Kansas City, MO; 4-children: Jan (Mark) Homan of Milwaukee, WI, Jeffrey Groene of Coventry, RI, Joseph Groene of Iowa City, IA & Julia (John) Bishop of Parkville, MO; 4-grandchildren & 1-great grandson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2-brothers & 6-sisters.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the end of visitation.  The memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church with Rev.
