Leigh Ann Gregory, aged 64, passed away on June 16, 2023, in Vernon Hills, IL, following a valiant battle with cancer spanning over two decades. Born on July 1, 1958, in Fairfield, IA, she was the beloved daughter of the late I. N. and Joan Mealey. Leigh Ann enjoyed a long and accomplished career at Lundbeck Pharmaceutical in Deerfield.
Her fondest moments were spent in the company of her cherished family and friends, particularly during their unforgettable trips to Las Vegas and Black Hawk, CO. With an astute eye for finding bargains, she found immense joy in the pursuit of shopping. One of the highlights of Leigh Ann's life was her journey to Ireland alongside her beloved husband, Curt, where she marveled at the wonders of the world as a small-town girl.
Leigh Ann's infectious joy radiated to all those around her, making her a constant source of happiness. Her absence will leave a void in the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed, her memory forever treasured.
Leigh Ann is survived by her loving husband Curt of 38 years; her cherished sister Mary J (James) Yonker; and her dearest nephews Scott and Todd Finch and Blake Mealey. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael J Mealey.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
