Herbert E. “Gene” Faul, 83, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home.  He was born on September 29, 1939 in Macomb, IL to Charles & Alta Ballou Faul.  He married Karan A. Kreighbaum on July 29, 1962 in Fort Madison, IA.  He was a retired pipefitter at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant with 36 years of service and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Conflict and the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the First Christian Church, Claypoole Masonic Lodge 13 AF & AM and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 212.

Gene is survived by: his wife: Karen Faul of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: James Faul of Mesa, AZ & Joseph (Lisa Glasgow) Faul of Garrison, IA; 2-grandchildren: Taylar & Christopher Faul; 1-great granddaughter: Arabella; 2-brothers: Max (Portia) Faul of Dallas City, IL & Ralph (Paula) Faul of Dallas City, IA and 1-sister: Patricia Patch of Galesburg, IL.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-son: John Faul and 1-brother: Charles Faul.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
