Harvey G. Hale, 80, of Fort Madison passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:46 PM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 29, 1943 in Macomb, IL to Glen and Alletia Belknap Hale.  On May 5, 1974 Harvey married the love of his life, Jill Rossiter in Denmark and she preceded him in death on November 15, 1995.   Harvey worked for the street and sewer department for the City of Ft. Madison and retired after thirty one years of service.  He loved to fish on the river, watch NASCAR and was a friend to everyone he met.  Most of all, Harvey enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Brian Hale and his wife, Stephanie of Ft. Madison; two grandchildren, Sophia and Hunter Hale of Ft. Madison; two sisters, Glenda Dochterman and Wanda McKay both of Keokuk; brother in law, Jim (Rhonda) Rossiter of Gillette, WY and sister in law, Debbie Jenkins of Mesa, AZ and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jeff Metcalf officiating.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.  The family will meet with friends from 9:30- 11 AM prior to the service.
