Cecil Wayman Edgington, 76, of Portland, TN, formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Wayman was born on July 26, 1946 in Burlington, IA. He was an over the road truck driver for Roadway Express and was a member of McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church in Portland, TN.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Edgington, by his children, Melissa (Paul) Lang, Todd (Jeannie) Edgington and Ronald Dean Edgington, by his grandchildren, Sam (Celia) Robinson, Connor Robinson, Erika Morgan, Chloe Edgington, Ian Edgington, Todd Edgington & Nicole Spears, by his sisters Noma (Kenny) Kramer, Shirley Yurth and Joy Woodall. Wayman was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Burl & Carrie Louella McDaniel Edgington.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at McKendree United Methodist Church in Portland, TN. Visitation will be from 1PM until 2PM with the service at 2PM.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison, IA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Joyce Beaulieu officiating. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the McKendree Memorial United Methodist Church Landscaping Fund, 208 Wheeler Street Portland, TN 37148.
