Evonne Karen Teeselink, 82 years, of Burlington, Iowa and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa, died at 11:20 am Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa. She was born May 13, 1941 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a daughter of James H and Jeanetta (Navis) TeBeest. She married Kenneth Teeselink. He preceded her in death.
She worked in retail at JC Penny for 15 years. After formal retirement, she worked 7 years at the Phoenix Zoo, helping check children in for tours. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and going out to eat.
She is survived by one son, Michael Teeselink of Tempe, Arizona; five step-children: Jackie (Eugene) McLeod of Chilton, Wisconsin; Tracy Michaud of Chandler, Arizona; Karen Cross of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Kyle (Sarah) Teeselink of Ankeny, Iowa and Trevor Teeselink of Newport News, Virginia; three siblings: Carol (Alan) Leystra of Fox Lake, Wisconsin; Melody (Harley) Coehoorn of Waupun, Wisconsin; and James L (Cheri) TeBeest of Waupun, Wisconsin; two grandsons, MJ and Tyler; ten step-grandchildren: Rochelle, Gail, Julie, Carrie, Trista, Jason, Luke, Lance, Kylie, and Jenna; one aunt Rachel Navis, and her special friend, John Scott Sr. of Fort Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Kenneth.
