Timothy A. Eidem, 62, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on August 20, 2022 at his home after a long battle with renal cancer.

Tim was born on September 9, 1959, to Dale & Carolle (Nelson) Eidem in Stanley, North Dakota. After moving to Park River, ND, where his sister Joni was born, the family moved to Keokuk in 1963 where his father accepted a job teaching chemistry/science at Keokuk Senior High Schools and Southeastern Community College in Keokuk.

Tim graduated with the class of 1977 from Keokuk Senior High and was looking forward to the upcoming 45 year class reunion. He later attended Southeastern Community College in W. Burlington, IA, where he was enrolled in the Agriculture Production OJT Program, graduating in 1979, while also working for Edward H. Holtkamp & Sons Inc., during the program.

After being laid off from Foote Mineral Inc. in just three short months, Tim joined The Hubinger Co./H.J.Heinz/Roquette America/B.C.T.&GM #48G in 1980, where he worked in nine different departments in forty one years, recently retiring January 2nd,2022.

Tim loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed a cold beer and a baseball game.   You could always count on him. He was so kind, so generous, and true, on earth he nobly did his best, grant him, Jesus, heavenly rest.

He is survived by his mother, Carolle Grisham of Keokuk, his significant other, Michelle Hamilton of Keokuk, sister, Joni (Kevin) Crenshaw of Keokuk, niece, Bailey (Joe) Donahue of LeClaire and nephew, Daniel (Sadie) Crenshaw of Montrose. Also surviving are his great nephews, Conor and Rhys Donahue and Warren and Thatcher Crenshaw. The boys all looked up to him and enjoyed their time and his patient conversations immensely. His legacy will live in the hearts of those who love him by sharing photos, stories, and memories.

We know that Tim is enveloped by the love of his late father and grandparents, who passed before him.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk with Father Tony Trosley officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service Friday from 11:30 a.m – 1:30 pm. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with family meeting with friends at that time.

Memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic Department of Development in Rochester, Minnesota.
