Michael "Mike" Hans Larsen, 77, of Burlington, died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at his home.
Born August 3, 1945, in Fort Dodge, IA, he was the son of Harold and Allyson McClurg Larsen. On April 27, 1968, he married Aida Pauline Traglio in Kahoka, MO.
He attended Fort Dodge Schools.
Mike had owned and operated Larsen Pump Service since 1976. Over the years he has taught his grandson everything he knew, so he could take over the business.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Iowa Water Well Association. Mike loved his farm and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Aida; two daughters, Tina Weston of Tampa, FL, and Tammy Morris of Burlington; one grandson, Michael (Kara) Hobbs of Dodgville; two step-grandchildren, Tara Weston of Richmond, VA and Kristina Nowacowski of Tampa, Fl; three great grandsons, Ty and Liam Hobbs and Weston Nowacowski; and one brother, Dana Larsen of Storm Lake, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ellen Berry.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Hospice.
