Donna Ruth Jones, 90, of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.

 

Donna was born on May 21, 1932, in McCall, Illinois, the daughter of Willis H. and Alice (Iseminger) Long. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1950. On January 21, 1954, she was united in marriage to William F. Jones in Nashville, Tennessee. He survives.

 

Donna was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw and was employed at Dadant and Son for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending her free time reading, antiquing, tending to her flowers, and attending yard sales and auctions. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.  

 

Donna is survived by her husband William F. Jones; two sons: Greg Jones of Keokuk, Iowa, and  Gary (Tammy) Jones of Warsaw; her brother Larry (Carolyn) Long of Argyle, Iowa; her sister Marilyn Griffin of Keokuk; eight grandchildren: Audrey Jones, Zach Jones, Ethan Jones, Will Jones, M. Casey (Shannon) Jones, Nichole (Zac) McDowell, Dennis (Mindy) Jones, and Matthew (Fiancé Amy) Jones; and ten great-grandchildren with one on the way. Other survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her son Geoff and her brother Robert Long.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw on Wednesday from 4 to 8, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 pm.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Memorial Hospital Foundation for the Hickory Grove Four Seasons Room.
