Sharon Kathryn Patton, 72, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison. She was born on January 5, 1950 in Fort Madison, IA to Herman & Evelyn Bentler Sanders. She worked at the West Point Meat Locker, Sheaffer Pen Company, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and lastly at Gleasons. She enjoyed candles, bon fires, reading her Kindle and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by: 2-daughters: Diana (Tristan Barnes) Brecount of South Daytona, FL & Lisa Hayes of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: James Grelk of Fort Madison, IA; 7-grandchildren; 13-great grandchildren; 2-brothers: Jerry (Nancy) Sanders of Franklin, IA & Rick (Patty) Sanders of Arkansas; 3-sisters: Mary (Bill) Sutcliffe of Fort Madison, IA, Joyce (Charlie) Collie of Texas & Lori McMillen of Fort Madison, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, 1-brother: Robert Sanders, 1-sister: Nancy Sanders and 1-brother-in-law: Bryon McMillen.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The memorial service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
