Roger D. Languell, 79, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at his home.  He was born on January 12, 1943 in Fort Wayne, IN to Ray & Helen Chronister Languell.  He married Norma J. Bender on May 5, 2001 at the central park gazebo in Fort Madison, IA.  He retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service.  After retirement, he worked at the Iowa State Penitentiary and lastly at Mediacom.  He served in the Fort Madison Veterans Honor Guard and was a member of the Fort Madison American Legion.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and travelling.

       Roger is survived by: his wife: Norma Languell of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Rodney (Cheryl) Languell of Donnellson, IA & Douglas (Jenny) Languell of Fort Madison, IA; 1-step daughter: Michelle (David) Pezley of Fort Madison, IA; 1-step son: Tony (Kimberly) Pohren of Donnellson, IA; 8-grandchildren: Colton (Katie) Languell, Keilie Languell, Kenzie Languell, Trevor (Selena) Pezley, Brandon (Destinee) Pezley, Jeff (Nadine) Pohren, Matt Munford & Cassandra Munford; 4-great grandchildren; 1-brother: Tom Languell of Fort Wayne, IN & 2-sisters: Janice Stanski of Fort Mayne, IN & Linda Languell of Fort Wayne, IN.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 7-brothers & 5-sisters.

       Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
