King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Laurie A. Mullins, 63, Keokuk

Laurie Ann Mullins, 63, of Keokuk, IA, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, IA.  She was born on May 13, 1960 in St. Charles, MO to Peyton Lloyd & Bettie Mae Dunbar Smith.  She married Rodney M. Mullins on September 5, 1981 in Fenton, MO.  She was a Family Support Worker for the Lee County Health Department with over 25 years of service.  She gave more to her job than any paycheck could ever show because of the care she gave the girls she mentored.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Madison and loved to sing, considering music her ministry. 
Laurie is survived by: her husband: Rodney Mullins of Keokuk, IA; 1-son: Nick Mullins of Keokuk, IA; 4-grandchildren: Isaiah, Troy, Odin & Alyssa Mullins; 2-brothers: Dennis Smith of Valley Park, MO & Barry (Karen) Smith of High Ridge, MO; 3-sisters: Bettie Jean (Larry) Reynolds of Springfield, MO, Patty (Mike) Arnhart of High Ridge, MO & Mary (Chuck) Abell of St. Louis, MO.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Stephanie Mullins.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 to Noon on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Fort Madison.  A funeral service will immediately follow at Noon with Revs. Steve Scott & Dean Graber officiating.  Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.  A memorial has been established in Laurie’s memory.  Online condolences to the Mullins family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.  King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
