Elizabeth L. “Libby” Mayer, 89, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:52 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Montrose Health Center.  She was born on August 21, 1934 in Keokuk, IA to Arthur C. & Daisy D. Wood Morrett.  She was a medical assistant for 35 years and later worked for King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory for 20+ years.  She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed reading and bird watching.
Libby is survived by: 1-daughter: Allison (Mark) Box of Fort Madison, IA; 1-grandson: Axel (Jack Silliman) Box of Canberra, Australia; 2-sisters: Nancy Wagner of Fort Madison, IA & Janet Blint of Oskaloosa, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1-sister: Lois Pohlpeter.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
