Delores Sims, 91, of Ft. Madison passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 8:30 AM at Birkwood Village in Ft. Madison.
She was born on August 23, 1932 in Ashton, MO to B.L. and Lois Brotherton Hauser.  Delores was a homemaker and helped in all aspects on the farm and she was of the Baptist faith.  Delores enjoyed doing word searches, listening to big band music and loved the color pink. On January 24, 1984 she married Gilbert Sims and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2014.
Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Cohagan of Harrah, OK; five sons, Eric (Laurie) Kerr of  Dixon, TN,  John (Rose) Kerr of Las Vegas, NV,  Scott Kerr of Burlington, Kenneth (Tracy) Lobberecht of Ft. Madison and Mark (Michelle) Lobberecht of West Des Moines; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; one brother, Rex Hauser of Boise, ID and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Tracy Kerr; a granddaughter, Katie Kerr; three sisters and two brothers.
Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A graveside service will be held at a later date at Soldiers’ Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
