Bradley Michael Dettmers, 58, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:25 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Danville Care Center in Danville, IA.  He was born on February 18, 1964 in Fort Madison, IA to W. J. “Dub” & Janava C. Dettmers Hull.  Prior to his accident, he was a construction worker and painter.  He married Becky J. Eid on October 5, 1984 in Fort Madison, IA.  He was an Iowa Hawkeye & Chicago Bears fan, but his greatest joy in life were his grandchildren.

       Brad is survived by: his wife: Becky Dettmers of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Jessica Dettmers of Burlington, IA; 1-son: Bradley Dettmers, Jr. of Fort Madison, IA; 5-grandchildren: Paige Dettmers, Kyler Dettmers, Ava Fuget, Liam Brown & Tyson Dettmers; 3-sisters: Brenda Dettmers of Fort Madison, IA, Paula (Steve) Burdette of Fort Madison, IA & Adella (Dusty) Boeding of Franklin, IA, his mother in law: Norene Eid of Fort Madison, IA and 1-sister in law: Sharon Dettmers Kemp of Fort Madison, IA.  He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, parents and 3-brothers: Steve & Greg Dettmers & Jerry Hull.

       A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m.  A memorial has been established in Brad’s memory.  Online condolences to Brad’s family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
