Kermit John Fulton, 86, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home.  He was born on July 16, 1936 in Valley, IA to Mervyn E. & Myrtle E. Black Fulton.  He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955, after which he volunteered for the draft and served four years in the U.S. Army, including a year stationed in Korea.  Upon his return, he attended Parsons College in Fairfield.

Kermit married Barbara Dean in Packwood, IA on June 21, 1959 and they were married for 63 years.  His employment history included JC Penney & Company in Fairfield, Wilson & Company and General Mills in Cedar Rapids.  In 1972, he moved with his family to Fort Madison where he was part of the start-up team for the new Armour-Dial manufacturing plant.  He worked there until his retirement in 2000.

Kermit is survived by: his wife: Barbara Fulton of Fort Madison, IA; 3-children: David Fulton of Fort Madison, IA, Dana (Curt) Fuget of Streator, IL & Douglas (Tami) Fulton of Bondurant, IA; 6-grandchildren; 4-great grandchildren; 1-sister: Judy Fulton of Galesburg, IL and 1-sister in law: Diane Fulton of Davenport, IA.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 3-brothers: Keith, Raymond & Leland Fulton, 1-sister: Vickie Hammontree and 1-brother in law: John Hammontree.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  No services will be held.  Friends are welcome to call at the home as they desire.  Memorials have been established for P.A.W.
