James “Jim” D. Gordon, 66, of Ft. Madison, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 10:46 PM at the West Point Care Center, shortly after cheering on his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was born on August 19, 1957 in Ft. Madison to James “Jack” and Rose Moline Gordon. Jim was an over the road truck driver.  He served in the US Army.  Jim loved riding horses, camping, fishing and spending time with his family.  He was a proud volunteer for the Tri State Rodeo and was Grand Marshal in 2015.

Survivors include his daughter, Georgina Gordon of Ft. Madison; two grandchildren, Ivan Gordon and Nightly Stewart; one brother, Dennis Gordon of LaHarpe, IL; three sisters, Connie (Steve) Stigall of Ft. Madison; Theresa (Steve) Hemann of Montrose and Amy (Mike) Hayes of Montrose; several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Bonnie.   He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.  

Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.   The family will meet with friends from 10 AM-11 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The memorial service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating.
