Geraldine R. Shibley, 93, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on November 16, 1929 in Fort Madison, IA to Floyd E. & Katherine A. Buechel Tebbs. She married Robert Eugene Shibley on March 20, 1955 in Fort Madison, IA. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Parish, CLA, Altar & Rosary Society, Fort Madison Senior Citizens, Friends of the Library, North Lee County Historical Society and the King’s Daughters. She enjoyed singing in the Ss. Mary & Joseph Church Choir and Bell Canto in Burlington.
Gerry is survived by: 1-son: Mark (Becky) Shibley of Fort Madison, IA; 5-grandchildren; 9-great grandchildren; 1-brother: Joe (Pat) Tebbs of Fort Madison, IA and her godson: Billy Jay Pidgeon of Houghton, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 1-son in infancy and 2-brothers: Mike & Jackie Tebbs.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Joseph Phung officiating. Burial will be held at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery.
