Aurora Ilene Waider, 73, of Ft. Madison, passed away on December 4, 2023 at 9:54 AM at Birkwood Village in Ft. Madison.
She was born on June 8, 1950 in Ft. Madison to Richard and Aurora Piloto Waider. Ilene operated Ilene’s Restaurant in Montrose for many years and then operated Sorrento’s Pizza for five years. She was a member of the Eagles and the Moose and enjoyed reading, bowling and bingo.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela (Johnny) Lankford of Martinsville, IN; three grandchildren, KeeLee Goins, Chase Langford and David Greenwald; three great grandchildren, Hudson, Ripley and Lyla; two brothers, Mark Waider of Arvada, CO and Duane Waider of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Barb Meierotto of Montrose and Charlotte Martin of Ft. Madison; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Greenwald and a grandson.
The family will meet with friends from 12:30-1:30 on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will follow at the Montrose Cemetery.
