DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home obituary - Janet Haage, 90, Keokuk

Janet Haage, 90, of Keokuk, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Janet was born on August 3, 1932, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of George and Mary (Ross) Egley. On June 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Delbert Haage in Wayland, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2015.

Janet was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church in Keokuk and was employed at Sheller-Globe in Keokuk for many years. She was also a talented artist, painting many saw blades and crocheting many unique items.

Janet is survived by her son Delbert Edwin Haage of Keokuk, Iowa; her daughter Peggy (Walter) Tweedy of Montrose, Iowa; two brothers: Peter and Robert (Barbara) Egley; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters-in-law: Elsie Ewart and Darlene Haage and several nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delbert, her daughter Barbara Briggs, two brothers: Kenny and John Egley, two grandsons: BJ Briggs and Danny Huston, and one great-granddaughter Calove Sackman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 3 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends from 5 to 7 pm at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 13, at Frazee Cemetery in Clark County, Missouri. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am on Thursday to the cemetery.
