Crusaders advance with win over WACO

Jarvis raps out four hits, while getting the win for HTC

WEST POINT – The Holy Trinity Catholic softball team got their seventh win of the season advancing in the Class 1A Region 6 bracket with a 13-2 win over WACO Tuesday night.
The win sends the Crusaders into the regional quarterfinals Wednesday night against (6-19) Winfield-Mt. Union at South Park in West Point.
Freshman Sydney Jarvis powered the Crusaders collecting four hits and getting the win in the circle. Jarvis had two triples and two singles and scored three runs in the 4 ½ inning affair.
She also gave up just two runs in the first inning, both earned, going all five innings striking out five and allowing five hits in the win.
Elizabeth Griffin, Kara Lake, Morgan Krogmeier, Ellie Hellman and Isabella Behne all had hits. Kat DiPrima had two hits, both singles, and scored a run. Hellman had two RBI, while Emily Hummel, Krogmeier and Lake all had RBI for the Crusaders.
