Barr Memorial Chapel obituary – James Robert Troland, 75, Fort Madison

James Robert Troland, 75 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa and formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died Monday, March 4, 2024 at his home.  He was born April 4, 1948 in Galesburg, a son of Charles and Phoebe (Bowling) Troland.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving over 20 years.  He completed his career working retail management in Texas.  In the past he enjoyed traveling, golf, and reading. 

He is survived by two children: Todd Troland of Converse, Texas and Amy (Mike) Wallis of Keokuk, Iowa; one daughter-in-law Naomi Troland of San Antonio, Texas; one sister Lynne Kennedy of Azle, Texas; a niece and nephew, Tara Kennedy and Ty Kennedy; and close friends, Kathy and Rosie.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Richard Kennedy.
