Beverly Jean Ash, 94, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

Beverly was born May 18, 1928 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Francis (Kolp) Ferris. She married Stanley E. Ash on February 18, 1948 in Macomb. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1996.

Beverly was a retired cook for the Dallas City Elementary School. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dallas City. She was an active worker in the CWF and held several offices.

She enjoyed playing bridge with her club. She always looked forward to Christmas and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters: Carol Cowles of Dallas City, Debbie (Dave) Clark of Fort Madison, Iowa and Rebecca Heubi of Summerville, South Carolina; one son: David (Patti) Ash of Commerce, Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law: Florine Ash and Shirley Ebey both of Macomb.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Kevin Ash; 2 brothers-in-law: Garland and Sanford Ash and two sisters-in-law: Louise Ash and Margaret Bryan.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, with Rev. Jim Luder officiating. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery, rural Niota, Illinois.

The family will receives friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
