Glenn E. Barbe, 83, of Keokuk, IA died Monday, July 18, 2022 at Blessing Health Keokuk. 

He was born August 8, 1938 in Keokuk, IA the son of Glenn C. and Lucille Pfeiferling Barbe.  Glenn graduated from Argyle High School with the class of 1956.

Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1963-1967.

On September 7, 1965 Glenn was united in marriage to Karen Griffith at the Alexandria Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, MO.  She survives.

Other survivors include several cousins and his beloved dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Roe Bradley and his step-mother, Helen Barbe.

He had been employed by Hubingers/Roquette for thirty-seven and a half years, until his retirement in 1996.

Glenn enjoyed spending time in his garage tinkering on old cars.  He was a dog lover and loved having his four legged companions by his side. 

A graveside service with military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Protection League, in care of Barb Bryant.
