Neil Lloyd Marshall, 79, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison. 
Born on July 1, 1944, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Willis and Evon (Mohart) Marshall. On November 25, 1966, he married Vickie Duffy at the Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church in Niota.
Survivors include his wife Vickie; daughter Shelley (Steve Froman) Bush; son Doug Marshall; Grandchildren: Ian (Madison Broadwell) Mullens, Jeramey (Jacie) Marshall, Jaley (Steven Spoores) Bush, Cody (Emma Elom) Marshall, Corby (Emalie Cook) Bush,  and Morgan Marshall; great grandchildren: Paisley Mullens, Isla Bush, Kaedyn Mullens, Kynslee Mullens, and Emberley Spoores; and sister Connie Marshall of Spokane, Washington. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Shawn Mullens.
Neil was a 1962 graduate of Nauvoo - Colusa High School, he was a farmer and worked for Johnson Trucking. 
He was a member of Nauvoo United Methodist Church, the Nauvoo Saddle Club and  served in the United States Army Reserves. Neil enjoyed riding horses, spending time with his grandchildren, farming, and trucking. 
His body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home for cremation.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10: 30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Nauvoo United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary McQuilkin officiating. 
Burial will be in the Thornber Cemetery, near Powellton, Illinois. There will be a flag presentation by the Hancock County Veterans Honor Guard.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Nauvoo United Methodist Church or Nauvoo Fire and Rescue
