Printy Funeral Home obituary – Richard “Curly” Jacob Koehler, 87, of Warsaw

Richard “Curly” Jacob Koehler, son of Carl and Awanda Jacobs Koehler, died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 7th. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Electa Sue Meyer Koehler. Richard is also survived by his 4 children Karla and Ron Froman, Lisa Koehler, Brad Koehler, and Angie and Rob Munson. He has been blessed with 8 grandchildren Matthew and Katie Froman, Stuart and Stephanie Froman, Lucas Satterly, Dylan Satterly, Katy Koehler, Anne Koehler, Electa Munson, and Isaac Munson. As well as 9 great-grandchildren who he adored.

Curly was also survived by his brother, Duane Koehler of McAllen, Texas where he and his wife Sue spent the winter months for the past 25 years. Curly is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many close friends who he considered family.

Curly was born December 25, 1934 in Wythe Township, where he farmed most of his life. He has been an active member in both the Trinity United Methodist Church and his community serving on several boards over the years.

His favorite part of life was being surrounded by friends and family where you were sure to see the twinkle in his eye and a loving, mischievous smile. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Memorials may be directed to the Warsaw Ambulance Service or Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw.
