Thomas “Tom” F. Hauck, 91, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 2:00 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at The Kensington.  He was born on August 20, 1932 in Fort Madison, IA, to Daniel and Marguerite Haden Hauck.  Tom enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict, earning a Purple Heart while engaged in major battles in South Korea.  On November 25, 1954, he married Tish Kent in the Episcopal Church in Fort Madison, IA.  Tom worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, retiring as a Transportation Manager in June of 1997.
Tom enjoyed swimming, diving and water skiing during his younger years and continued swimming at the local YMCA into his senior years.  Tom was an avid card player, teaching his entire family the game of Cribbage.
Survivors include, his wife, Tish, of Fort Madison, IA, his daughter, Dawn (Rob), son Joel (Rene), four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, 2-sisters, 3-brothers, a nephew and 2 nieces.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.   A private family burial will take place at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation in Fairfield, IA and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
