King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Chester E. Dalrymple, 92, Burlington

Chester Earl Dalrymple, 92, of Burlington, IA, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.  He was born on December 25, 1931 on the family farm in rural Donnellson, IA to Clarence & Sadie Whittlesey Dalrymple.  He was a janitor for ServiceMaster and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean & Vietnam Conflicts.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Burlington, IA and loved photography, electronics and raising African Violets.
Chester is survived by: twin daughters: Sheri (Craig) Capron of Lisbon, IA & Terri (Rodney) Hoskins of Fort Madison, IA; 3-grandchildren: Emily & Lucas Capron & Georgina Gordon; 1-sister: Joan (Rolland) Hancock of St. Louis, MO and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-granddaughter: Terian Tipton and 2-sisters: Doris Landes & Sue Magoon.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.  A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.  Online condolences to the Dalrymple family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
