Lonnie Dean Glasscock, 75, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 3:12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home.  He was born on June 23, 1948 in Keokuk, IA to Dean T. & Anna L. Vice Glasscock.  He married Vera Elizabeth Moeller on August 19, 1972 in Fort Madison, IA.  He was a truck driver for many years for Shipley Construction and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Fort Madison Moose Lodge, Fort Madison Eagles Club, ABATE and was an officer of the Lee County Veterans Commission.  He was a loving father and grandfather.  He enjoyed playing golf and reading.  He proudly passed his love of reading on to his daughters.  He was known to sing a couple Karaoke songs in his Hawaiian shirts!
Lonnie is survived by: his wife: Vera Glasscock of Fort Madison, IA; 2-daughters: Kelly (Greg) Reeder of Matthews, NC & Tracy (Toby Wagner) Glasscock of Fort Madison, IA; 2-grandchildren: Austin & Gregory Reeder; 3-bonus grandchildren: Toby, Kurt & Ryan Wagner; 7-bonus great grandchildren: Lacy Vaughn, Zach Vaughn, Bailey Vaughn, Beau Wagner, Eliza Wagner, Emma Wagner & Keller Wagner; 2-sisters: Twila Parke of Fort Madison, IA & Julie Smith of Riverside, IA.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A private family burial will be held at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the Fort Madison American Legion.  Online condolences may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
