Elizabeth A. “Betty” Harris, 77, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 1, 1946 in Fort Madison, IA, to Rosemary Bunker. She married Donald W. Harris on October 26, 1963 in Fort Madison, IA. She was a homemaker and baby sat for children for 20+ years in her home. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, spending time on her cell phone and tablet and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by: her husband: Donald Harris of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Kristine Parsons of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Ronald (Sandra) Harris of Mt. Pleasant, IA; 5-grandchildren: Aaron (Jess Danes) Harris, Sam Harris, Elissa (Austin) Menke, Sarah Harris & Teryn Parsons; 2-great grandchildren: Hudson & Logan Menke; 1-on the way: Hadlee Harris and 1-niece: Terry (Steve) Ruble of Fort Madison, IA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, 1-great grandson: Joseph Harris, 1-brother & sister-in-law: Robert (Connie) Bunker & 1-brother in infancy: Ron Bunker.
