Wayne L. Heidbreder, 67, of Niota, IL, passed away at 1:38 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born on August 12, 1956 in Keokuk, IA to George E. & Imogene E. Varner Heidbreder. He married Carol Elaine Howard on July 10, 1976 in Dallas City, IL. He worked as a construction superintendent for Carl A. Nelson Company for many years. He enjoyed working with wood and building anything, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by: his wife: Carol Heidbreder of Niota, IL; 2-sons: Todd (Corrine Dail) Heidbreder of Fort Madison, IA & Tony (Shasta) Heidbreder of Niota, IL; 4-grandchildren: Connor, Neveda, Liam & Brielle; 3-brothers: Albert (Theresa) Heidbreder of Fort Madison, IA, Dale (Gail) Heidbreder of Donnellson, IA & Daryl (June) Heidbreder of Des Moines, IA and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and per his wishes, no services are planned. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
