Jimmie E. Boecker, 71, of Montrose, IA, passed away at 2:30 a.m. On Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. He was born on January 29, 1951 in Keokuk, IA to Robert & Adeline Corley Kennedy Boecker. He married Terry Ann Brentise and they later divorced. He then married Teresa M. Kane Lambert on April 5, 2004 in Keokuk, IA. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2019. He retired from J.I. Case with 37 years of service and enjoyed fishing, playing pool, the St. Louis Cardinals, horseshoes, collecting coins and watching the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune & Survivor. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Jimmie is survived by: 3-daughters: Connie Boecker of Farmington, IA, Dawn Lambert of Keokuk, IA & Teracea Lambert of Keokuk, IA; 1-son: James Boecker of Montrose, IA; 6-grandchildren: Brandy Jo, Jamie, Emma Jean, Patrick, Colby & Hailey; 2-brothers: Jerry (Joan) Boecker of Keokuk, IA & Donnie Boecker of Keokuk, IA; 3-sisters: Dixie Horsey of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Sandra (Jerry) Schaff of Hamilton, IL & Dee Ann (Tracy) Pierce of Hamilton, IL. He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, 1-brother: Larry Boecker, 1-sister: Jackie Thompson, 1-niece & 1-nephew.
The visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 with the funeral service to immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial will be held at Montrose Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Jimmie’s memory.
