Carol A. Samuel, 79, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 8:09 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.  She was born on October 5, 1943 in Sayreville, NJ to Joseph & Frances Okulewicz Rudy.  She married Robert Frank Samuel on August 7, 1965 in Sayreville, NJ.  He preceded her in death on January 6, 2018.  She was a homemaker and also did childcare at her home.  She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Fort Madison and enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her family, visiting with her neighbors, watching and attending her grandchildren’s events, walking by the river, watching her favorite shows and listening to music, especially Engelbert Humperdinck.

Carol is survived by: 1-daughter: Francine (Tim) Roling of Jefferson City, MO; 2-sons: Robert Samuel of St. Augustine, FL & Dave (Courtney) Samuel of Moberly, MO; 6-grandchildren: Logan, Alaina, Ashley, Nolan, Skylar & Buehler; 3-great grandchildren: Alexander, Xavier & Knox; 1-sister: Alice Johnson & 1-brother: Joe Rudy.
