Dale M. Albright, 87, of Keokuk, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Montrose Health Center in Montrose, Iowa.
Dale was born on August 2, 1936, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Rollie and Blanche (Templeton) Albright. He graduated from Wyaconda High School in 1954 and went to work for Horner Waldorf Box Company (Stone Container) for forty years. On October 2, 1997, he was united in marriage to Carla Keller Wollbrink in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.
Dale was an exceptional woodworker, remodeling homes and creating incredible projects throughout his life, including cedar chests. He was also a talented artist. Some of his other hobbies included watching Nascar, attending rodeos, collecting antiques and spending the winter in Texas with his friends. Dale will always be remembered for his impeccable work ethic, perfectionism and his melodic whistling while he worked.
Dale is survived by his wife Carla Albright; two sons: Michael (Debra) and Robert (Genia) Albright; three step-children: Chris (Kassie) Wollbrink, Curt (Shauna) Wollbrink and Kelly (Jan) Winkler; four grandchildren: Linda (John) Peacher, Christina (Dustin) Nelson, Dylan (Carol) Albright and Robert (Aylin) Albright, II; his sister Norma Jean “Cookie” (Don) Howell; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, his wives Betty and Claire, his brother Don Albright and his sister Lorraine “Tootie” Haven.
Dale’s life will be celebrated with a visitation from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024, at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. A family burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.|
