Pamela Sue Newberry, 70, of West Burlington, died Saturday, January 27, 2024, at her home.
Born March 30, 1953, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Robert John and Mary Lou Moehn Koval. On March 12, 1991, she married Gary Robert Newberry in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away on March 23, 2020.
Pam held several jobs as a secretary, but her most memorable job, and longest running, was the time she spent as a Manager for Spencers Gifts in the West Burlington Mall until their closing in 1994.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lou Butler of Peyton, Colorado; her son, John (Tami) Gerber of Burlington; step-daughter, Heather (Scott) Becker of Danville; six grandchildren, Libbie, Rian, Ellie, Kayla, Cole and Gavin; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Koval and Patrick (Nancy) Koval both of Burlington; four sisters, Beth Koval of Burlington, Gayla Koval of Arizona, Susan Koval of Colorado, and Jodi (David) Fitzmaurice of Missouri.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her father, and one sister, Teri.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City, Illinois, with Pastor Nate McCarter officiating.
