Kathleen S. Rogers, 76, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois.
Kathi was born September 19, 1947 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Hogan) Haas. On January 25, 1969 she married James D. Rogers Jr. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo. He preceded her in death December 23, 2013.
Kathi was raised and educated in the Nauvoo area and was in the last graduating class of the former St. Mary’s Academy. She lived in the Lomax area since her marriage. She worked in the Henderson County Clerk’s Office and was a long time Teacher’s Aide at the LaHarpe School District. She also was the Lomax Township Supervisor for 27 years. She and her family operated Roger’s Pumpkin Farm, giving tours of the pumpkin patch, hayrack rides and corn maze each fall, providing enjoyment for area families. Later, she operated Crane Hill Antiques, which took her all over the United States searching for antiques. 
Mrs. Rogers enjoyed bird watching, traveling, gardening, and especially spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City, the LaHarpe P.E.O. and was a founding member of the Late Bloomers Garden Club. 
Survivors include four children: Andrew Rogers of Monmouth, Illinois, Dan Rogers of Lomax, Sara Krow of Burlington, Iowa and Isaac (Jessi) Rogers of Blandinsville, Illinois; seven grandchildren: Darren Krow, Dillon Krow, Mallory Krow, Derek Rogers, Garrett Rogers, Kasen Rogers and Kyler Rogers and two sisters: Joan Kraft of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Ellen Haas of Nauvoo.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson: Korbin Rogers and one daughter-in-law: Amy Rogers. 
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. following the visitation. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo with Fr. Tony Trosley as Celebrant. Burial will be in Crane Cemetery, near Lomax.
