Benjamin Jeffries, 5, Fort Madison, rides the Mighty Bucky during the Special Kids Rodeo, open to all physically and mentally challenged kids and adults, Saturday, September 2 at the Tri-State Rodeo Grounds in Fort Madison. Events included simulated saddle bronc riding, horseback rides, simulated barrel racing, simulated calf roping, horse drawn trolley rides, KC the mechanical bull, goat tying, petting zoo, simulated bull riding and simulated horseback riding. Other pre-rodeo events include the Lil Spurs Rodeo Monday morning starting at 10 a.m. and Pee Wee Barrels in the horse arena behind the Tri-State Rodeo Arena Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
